Hi everyone. Many years ago I stitched the Ross Originals Tiger head on 14 or 16ct Rustico fabric and it looks stunning. Now my husband wants me to stitch the matching Lion. I now only stitch on evenweave but am really struggling to find a 28ct Rustico style fabric anywhere. I need about 20x20 inches approx. Does such an evenweave exist? TIA Michelle

JUDY: I found a Ginnie Thompson on eBay that sounds about what you're looking for. It doesn't specifically say "Wedding Sampler sa3" (it says "Wedding & Birth Samplers") but it does have the "Something Old --- Something New" border you described. If this is what you're looking for, it's used and has a Buy-It-Now price of $1.49 and the shipping is $2.21. The item # is: 290256636928. I've never bought from this seller so I can't personally vouch for them but their feedback is 100% positive so I'd say they're probably pretty trustworthy to deal with. Good luck!

I am looking for a cross stitch pattern for: A wall hanging - You cross stitch each number (1 thru 31) on a square about 2"x2". Velco on the back of each - velco in each square on the background. Some squares are personal: like "Happy Birthday Mary" (with maybe a cake on it). On the top middle would go the Month. It doesn't matter what year it is because you just move the numbers around to fit the calendar month. Does anyone know where I can find this pattern? I suppose if I get really creative I could make it up.

Shirley -- What about if you made the backing a little smaller than the actual cross stitch side? It might be a little hard to sew it because it would have to be pulled a little, but then when you turned it right side out the backing would be pulled back a little. Does that make sense? Just a thought.

Later on this person, I believe, turned her business over to "Original Needlework Designs by Karen" in Klamath Falls, Oregon. These were the best graphs I have seen over the years and I am now trying to find that particular software program so I can purchase it. Can anybody help me out? Thanks in advance. Carol

Dori, Give this one a look: http://www.keepsakeneedlearts.com/image_zoom.aspx?IMAGE=https://www.kqimageserver.com/naimages/parts/94860.JPG&NAME=NEW DAYLIGHT STITCHSMART STAND. I have it and love it. I did not get the accessory kit but it is on my wish list for Christmas. And, the extra bar they show in the clamp does not come with it (and I can't find it anywhere) but I use mine without it and clamp directly on my scroll frame. It is fully adjustible and yes, easy enough to be portable. Work with Q-snaps too. Hope this helps, Shiela

Liz -- If the thread is coming apart, it might be a blending filament. It wouldn't matter if you could not find the exact same thing as long as you get something about the same thickness and color. Rainbow Gallery and Kreinik both make very good blending filaments and metallic braids.

Linda in PA, regarding your TW design, I would suggest going to the Teresa Wentzler message board and joining. You can discuss all of her designs there and this question may have already been addressed. Also, there is an 'Ask Teresa' section on the board where you can ask TW your questions directly. It's a great place for all TW stitchers. http://teresawentzler.yuku.com/directory

I thought it was single thread and back stitch only but it shows BS and LS and some look like double lines where others look like a predestrian crossing? Some even look curvy etc...Please can someone help me understand how to do these outlines...thanks

Is the gold filament over the cross=stitches "Z" 437,612 and "N" 738,613" on the blanket or is the gold filament the cross-stitch itself with no DMC? Would sincerely like to clear up my confusion. Susan, you may want to go to the Message Board at wwww.123stitch.com and post your message. There are quite a few Australian stitchers who are making xs squares for quilts and pillows. These items are being given to people who lost their homes to the wild fires earlier this year. I'm sure some of them could put the items to good use in making quilts or for fund raising. There are also some stitchers who stitch for cancer quilts and children's hospitals.

Dont have time for the ebay thing, and am prepared to give them away to a good home. There are hundreds of dollars worth here, so I want them to go to a good cause. If you are in the Brisbane area and know of a group who stitches for charity, or a charity who can put them to good use, please contact me. Also open to other suggestions! Thanks everyone

AGNES: A 4-inch design is pretty big for a regular acrylic coaster. Have you thought about putting them on smaller-sized fabric to make the design smaller? If that would work, Herrschner's has coaster sets (of 4) for $11.99 in hexagon, flower, heart, & square shapes. I've used the hexagons several times as Christmas gifts & they all turned out really nice. If you've tried putting your design on smaller fabric & the design is still too big, then instead of coasters, maybe you should consider putting the designs in trivets instead (which has a 5" x 5" workable area). They're like coasters only ... bigger! Herrschner's has them too for $4.99 & $5.99 each. Good luck!

Snow is made by Caron Colections. "A synthetic metallic thread. It is very easy to work with and in weight is similar to #5 pearl cotton, six strands of floss or one ply of persian wool. White tends to reflect the colors used around it. Although it has lots of sparkle, decorative stitches look well worked with Snow. It also comes in a variety of colors."

Hello--I am looking for a kit once available from either The Stichery or Keepsake Needlearts. The kit was an outline of a cat hunched down on all fours. The inside of the cat outline was filled with a floral design similar to a chintz. The background fabric was white. I'm pretty sure it was counted cross stitch. This kit is no longer available on either company's website, and their customer service departments were not able to find it. An extensive Google search has not turned up the kit anywhere, or a picture. It's not on the Hoffman site either. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I was recently given some unstitched cross stitch samplers. one is no 01049x(JSA-1) made by paragon needlecraft expressly for the ladies home journal. then there is "our country", all 48 states depicted by symbols. ie. a long horn, factory, cotton picker, a peach. also there is "history of transportation" similar to the our country sampler but it shows different modes of transportation, hence the title, lol. this last two i believe are from the 1950's as they have a 195 to be stitched on the bottom. i would love to stitch these up but unfortunately there were no graphs. anyone have any ideas? I would sure appreciate any help offered.

how do I do - 1/4 stitch with 6 strands, or a 3/4 stitch with 6 strands -- and the pattern calls for one color on the top part of the stitch, and a different color for the bottom half. It seems to me that there is no room for that. Can you help me. I sure hope so. I am 79 live in Alaska, and I love to cross stitch -- but some things I do not understand. Lena, Anchorage

TIA: I've seen what you're looking for on eBay in the past. There's a particular Vervaco kit I'm on the hunt for too (but not yours) so I'm usually looking there about once a day hoping I'll someday find it. You should keep checking there periodically. Almost anything you can think of seems to end up for auction there at some point ... unfortunately, it's just a waiting game until whatever you're looking for shows up eventually!

I am desperately looking for a chart or kit of a pattern that was in the 1997 Stitchery catalogue. It is a very tall birdhouse with 2 quaker/amish children playing at the foot of the large post. It is called 'Above It All' by Eric Dowdle. It states #716671-simple gifts. Please anyone? It would be so much appreciated. Shirley

ELIZABETH: I found this on eBay. Maybe it's what you're looking for? The item # is 120371183616. It's a chart only with a Buy It Now Price of $8.90 (including shipping). I've never bought from them but they've got 100% positive feedback AND the auction page says that ALL proceeds go to an animal shelter to help dogs and cats . . . so you're not only doing something for yourself if you buy from them but you'd also be contributing to a charity that helps some of the smallest, most helpless (non-human) members of society that could really use it. Good luck!
