Cross stitch chart from Queenstown Sampler Designs. Traditional green and red alphabets parade across the upper rows. Pink, magenta and a sparkle of sunny yellow boldly embrace the design. Distinctive Scottish design elements are the arcaded stylized pansy band, peacocks, crowned family initials, rose-trees, and a finely worked, three-story mansion with blue slate roof. Some of the windows remain open, similar to a group of samplers from Virginia in the United States. A sweet strawberry vine surrounds this delightful sampler. Stitch count 291 tall x 220 wide.
