Miss Mandrake

Cross stitch pattern from Barbara Ana Designs. Who is the little character you ask? It is a mandrake, half-plant, half-woman, represented symbolically in this cross-stitch chart. The mandrake plant was used in witchcraft's magical rituals. The design shows a witch's coven - you can spot three witches in the lower part - but the emphasis is clearly on the mandrake that occupies the foreground, with a beautiful combination of colors and stylized shapes of leaves and fruit. Stitch count 73 x 102. Stitched on #3200 Zweigart Lugana 32ct. Basalt Splash.
