Fleur De Lis 1830

Cross stitch pattern by Victorian Rose Needlearts. Fleur de Lis is a beautifully simple sampler bought from an English antiques dealer in the summer of 2015. We can see the influence of the French on English culture, most notably in the signature element featured top center in the sampler of the Fleur De Lis. This design is a stylized image of a lily or lotus blossom symbolizing French royalty. The three petals represent the holy trinity. Stitch count 130 x 212.
