The central figures standing under the Tree of Life are surrounded by a rich background of flora & fauna. The many birds were traditional symbols of eternal life & the love of nature. Squirrels in the Garden of Eden were symbols of mischievousness. Rabbits were associated with gentleness & timidity. Owls were thought to be signs of wisdom & knowledge. Dogs were symbols of loyalty & protection. Flowers were signs of youthfulness, gentleness, & again love of nature. The carnation border signifies true love. Stitch count 256w x 242h.
