Fair Maiden's Etui

"Etui" means a small case for holding items such as sewing tools, perfume, manicure tools, etc. This pyramidal shape of "A Fair Maiden's Etui" was popular during Victorian times. The outside of the "Etui" features a flower pot with beautiful blooming flowers & birds chirping as they sit on a tree branch. On the inside, an embroidered pocket and pinkeep, thread rings, and two silk pockets to hold a needlebook and other treasures, are featured. The bottom of the "Etui," features the saying "Come haste, my fair maiden, prepare for your worke, let not in your person untidiness lurk, see that scissors are sharp, and needles are new, your tools all in order, so well you will do."
