Caroline Sayer 1834: Sweet Heaven

$22.00

Cross stitch pattern by Shakespeare's Peddler. Caroline, just 14 years old stitched this design. Stitched in the middle of the design are verses. Caroline talks about having already lost not only her mother, but also several sisters. Dying was part of life and many leaned on their faith for support and hope. Stitched among the verses are birds, flowers, urns, baskets of flowers and fruit. A strawberry border completes this design. After looking at the detail throughout this design, I think back to what I was doing at the age of 14. I know I wasn't creating a masterpiece like Caroline was! 200 years later, I'm sure it would bring a smile to her face to know that her design has been brought back for stitchers to enjoy! Stitch count is 321 x 454. Stitched on #8723 R&R Reproductions 40ct. Star's Hollow.
